Our Involvement

"When I think about my involvement on Auburn’s campus, the first thing that comes to my mind isn’t the number of name tags I’ve collected, but the girls in AOII. It’s these women who've sent me good luck text after good luck text before an interview, left Dove chocolate and a Diet Coke in my room on the hall, and made me laugh on the longest and most stressful days. It’s these women who were with me at callouts, each holding a curl because I only have two hands to hold and apparently that just isn’t enough! It’s these women who have believed in my passion and believed in me. They’ve made me a better leader and a better woman. They showed me grace when I needed it most. Because of these women, I am who I am today." -Jacqueline Keck, Former SGA President

"AOII doesn't tell you who to be or what to do. Instead, you tell AOII who you want to be and what you want to do, and they help you get there. This has been so evident to me as I have been surrounded by girls who encouraged me to be involved in the organizations that I truly love and have supported me in the endeavors that I feel most passionate about." -Kat Brouillette, Camp War Eagle Counselor

"I know I wouldn’t be where I am today, serving in the role of Miss Auburn, without the love and support the girls in AOII have given me. The genuine and strong women that make up AOII have constantly pushed me to try new things and encouraged me each step along the way. The amount of love and support that AOII embodies was really made evident during campaign week. They are the ones who are always on the concourse smiling, laughing, and having an all around good time; they are the ones who brought me coffee and food; and they are the ones cheering me on the whole week. These girls truly exemplify the "human touch" here at Auburn. I am so grateful for AOII and each member that has positively impacted my life!"  - Kathryn Kennedy, Miss Auburn
